How deletion works

Messages live for 7 days on Free, 30 days on Pro and 90 days on Max. When the clock ends, the message, its attachments and its raw copy are deleted together. We could not restore it if asked.

No. Your first inbox appears the moment you land, and you can hold 5 at once without an account. Signing in does not raise that number. It keeps your inboxes when the cookie goes, and it lets you open them from another browser.

Because there never will be. Sign in uses a six digit code sent to your email, valid 10 minutes and single use. A wrong code is worse than no code, so a used or expired one never works twice.

7 days on Free, 30 days on Pro and 90 days on Max. Free also holds to 50 messages received a day across all your inboxes. Per inbox caps are 100, 1,000 and 5,000 messages. Attachments are 10 MB on Free and 25 MB above that.

Free accounts get readable word pair names on our 2 shared domains. Pro and Max pick the name themselves and can use a private domain that free accounts cannot reach.

On Free, yes. It is what keeps the zero dollar plan alive. Pro at $4 per month or $44 per year, and Max at $10 per month or $100 per year, are completely ad free.

What we keep

The mail sent to your inboxes, the addresses you created, and one session cookie that tells us which browser you are. If you signed in with an email, we keep that email address. That is the whole list.

What we never keep

There is no password field on this site, so there is no password in our database. Login codes are stored as a keyed hash, are valid ten minutes, and work once. Login codes are the only credential the service holds.

How long your mail lives

Messages are kept 7 days on Free, 30 days on Pro and 90 days on Max. When the clock runs out, the message, its attachments and its raw copy are deleted together. Your addresses do not expire. Only messages do. An inbox that never received anything, on a browser not opened for 30 days, is reclaimed so the name stays available for someone who will use it.

What we do to mail on the way in

We read it once, strip scripts and dangerous markup, and neutralise remote images so tracking pixels cannot fire until you ask for them. We also look for a verification code so you can copy it without opening the mail.

Ads on the Free plan

Free is paid for by ads on the page. Advertisers never see your mail, your address, or anything we worked out from either.

Who can read an inbox

Anyone holding the browser session or the account that owns it. An inbox is not a secret. Treat it as a public address with a private reader.

Deleting everything

The dashboard has a Delete everything button. It runs at once and nothing is archived. You can also write to us and ask us to do it for you.

What this service is

A permanent email address with a web inbox, and no signup. It receives mail. That is all it does.

You cannot send mail

There is no outbound send and there never will be. The only mail we send you is a login code. This is not a limitation we plan to lift. It is the reason the service can exist.

What you must not do with it

Fraud, harassment, evading a ban you were given, or anything illegal where you are. We answer abuse complaints, and we can delete an inbox and its mail without warning.

Do not depend on it

Do not use freemail as the only address for a bank, an employer, a government service, or anything you cannot afford to lose. Mail can be late, refused by us, or refused by the sender. Free comes with no uptime promise.

Domains can be retired

Signup forms block disposable domains. When one of ours gets blocked we may retire it, and inboxes on that domain can stop receiving. Paid plans can use a private domain that free accounts cannot reach, which makes this less likely to touch you.

Paying

Pro and Max bill monthly or yearly. Cancel whenever you like and the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for. Moving back to Free applies the Free limits, so mail past the Free window goes on the next sweep.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.

Ads

On the Free plan we show our own images, served from this site. No ad network runs here, nothing third party loads, and we set no advertising or profiling cookies. If you click an ad, the site you land on sets its own.

If you clear them

Clearing cookies ends an anonymous session, and inboxes tied to it become unreachable unless you signed in first. Sign in with an email if that matters to you.

Your data rights

See what we hold

Your dashboard lists every inbox, every message and the plan you are on. There is nothing held about you that is not on that screen.

Get a copy

Ask us and we will send your stored messages as files.

Delete it

Delete everything in the dashboard removes your inboxes, messages and attachments at once. There is no restore and no backup copy kept for us to hand back.

Correct it

The only personal detail we hold is a login email, and only if you gave one. Write to us and we will change it.

Why we are allowed to hold it

To run the inbox you asked for. That is the whole basis. We do not process your mail for any other purpose and we do not sell it.

How long we hold it

For your plan retention window, then a scheduled sweep deletes it. Free is 7 days, Pro is 30 days, Max is 90 days.

If you think we handled your data badly, write to us first. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
